EMBS offers a full range of patient accounting services, from posting and mailing bills to establishing efficient accounts receivable operations and providing clients with customized financial reports.

1. •electronically file claims to third party payors–Medicare, Medicaid, other government agencies, and private insurance companies;
   

2. •file any paper claims (those that are unable to be processed electronically);

4. •bill patients for outstanding balances;
   

5. •answer patient inquiries concerning claims;
   

6. •post payments received;
   

7. •prepare monthly financial reports that summarize claims filed, payments received, outstanding receivables, receivables aging, and other information, as requested;
   

8. •examine current billing practices, fee structures, and explanations of benefits in denied claims in order to suggest solutions to improve the cash flow of the practice;
   

9. •monitor practice accounts to identify opportunities for improvement;
   

10. •review fee schedules to ensure that they have kept pace with current standards and are thereby maximizing income.
