All staff at EMBS have received HIPAA training; we protect and preserve the confidentiality of all patient billing and collections information.

EMBS uses computers with backup hard drives and uninterrupted power supplies/surge protectors. Backup drives are kept in a fireproof safe for data protection. We have paper shredders for additional security and all hard copy is kept in a locked filing cabinet.

Our primary billing and claims processing software is Medisoft 14.0, though other packages are used when the need arises. All software is password protected, so data is secure. Encryption is used for all data communications between EMBS and its clearinghouse.
